The following is an email that Dr. Garrow recently received from artist Chuck Strantz
Greetings,
I am currently reading the book, The Pink Pagoda, a book about the harsh realities of the national policy of one child per family in the Peoples Republic of China and the diminishing value of females. Countless females are cast aside (killed) in some of the poorer districts of China.
Visit www.pinkpagoda.org for more info.
Dr. Garrow’s book gave me the inspiration on a recent painting I completed just days ago, for an art auction benefiting an orphanage in Yei, South Sudan.
I had this old lid off a shipping crate possibly from China that became the substrate the painting is on.
The title is China ’s forgotten daughters, our sistersThe benefit auction is www.artfortheheartofafrica.org
I’d love to hear a comment
Thanks
Chuck Strantz
